Amy Ostrander is a pediatric nurse practitioner who works with families of children and adolescents undergoing anesthesia. She performs physical exams and educates families about what to expect before, during and after anesthesia. She collaborates with the pediatric anesthesia, perioperative and surgical teams to ensure thorough, patient-centered care.

Ostrander has extensive knowledge and experience in pediatric medicine, having worked as a bedside nurse and a primary care nurse practitioner for children and adolescents.

Ostrander earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from San Francisco State University, followed by a master's degree in nursing from UCSF.
