Dr. Jennifer Yuen is a pediatric neurologist who cares for children with neurological symptoms and conditions. She specializes in treatment following time in the intensive care nursery for premature birth or conditions affecting the nervous system, such as hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (brain injury caused by lack of blood flow to the brain) and congenital heart disease. Especially during the first few years of their lives, she follows her patients' development closely and works with their families to ensure they are making as much progress as possible.

Yuen earned her medical degree at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She completed a residency in child neurology at Children's Mercy Hospital and further training in neurodevelopment at the University of Missouri.

For Yuen, two highlights of being a doctor are teaching students and residents and watching her patients develop and grow.
